Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 22. Thank the Lord, we are starting week 4! We have spent the last three weeks focusing on our blessings and not our problems! It definitely has made a difference to me and I trust you as well. Thank you for staying with me on this adventure. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories: Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.
At the end of the devotion I invite you to do a short quiet reflection of 5 - 10 minutes. Breath deeply and focus on your breath - inhalation and exhalation. If your mind is "busy" repeat the gratitude of the day or your own personal gratitude that comes to mind. This quite time will allow you to hear from God.

TODAY'S DEVOTION:
Today I am grateful and thankful for a sound mind. Nobody but the Lord my God could have kept me sane and whole from the stresses and burdens of my life's journey. There were times when the difficulties came at me at rapid fire pace. I cried out aloud to God on many occasions and asked him when it would end. I got comfort from his Word and from the prayers and prophetic words of his saints. When I was expecting my daughter 37 plus years ago I had this dream: A sister from the church who was also a family friend came to me and told me that she got a message in a dream that I should read Psalm 91, but she waited quite a while to tell me. In the dream I scolded her about the importance of delivering messages like those right away because it could save the person(s) from a lot of grief. Yes, God sometimes give us his messages through dreams and it is imperative that they are delivered to the recipients promptly. I never forgot this. I am so grateful that he gave me the strength to hold on; I appreciate it so much.
THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:
With Jesus in my life not only am I an over comer, but I am victorious!
SCRIPTURE:
Psalms 91:2(AMP) - I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust (with great confidence, and on whom I rely)!
Suggestion: Read the whole chapter, keep it as a reference and when you are anxious about anything read it over and over again.
PRAYER:
My God, My Fortress and my strength, who can fathom thee? You give strength to the week and deliver us from all of our troubles. All glory and honour to you. Help me to always be a good scout, and be ready to serve in your name and to be humble when I attend to the needs of your people.
In Jesus name I pray. AMEN πππ

| I love Poinsettias! My favourite Xmas decoration |
This is the season to let God's Love and Light shine through us so if the Lord prompt you to reach out to someone, don't ignore it, act. Just like my experience with the dream, God speaks to us by prompting or nudging us to take action but sometime we doubt or question if it is really God speaking to us. I have found that listening to the first voice, not the analyzed, questioning one is the right one, and you cannot go wrong doing good.
Have a super satisfying Saturday,
Beverley
