Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 17! Thank the Lord for week 3. Thank you for staying with me on this adventure. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories: Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

At the end of the devotion I invite you to do a short quiet reflection of 5 - 10 minutes. Breath deeply and focus on your breath - inhalation and exhalation. If your mind is "busy" repeat the gratitude of the day or your own personal gratitude that comes to mind. This quite time will allow you to hear from God.

TODAY'S DEVOTION:
Today I am grateful and thankful for the gift of introspection. I am thankful for my journey in Christ, that he has placed in my heart to pursue excellence and walk in his precepts. Without being able to look within and honestly and truthfully examine my thoughts and feelings about events and situations I would not be able to learn from those experiences and course correct the direction of my life when necessary. I would be caught up in the blame game that the world practices. Internal examination and inquiry allows me to resolve problems, take positive action to enhance my life and the life of those with whom I interact. I believe the new phrase for this is UP LEVELING , while Jesus encouraged his disciples to LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP. This is how positive change happens and I am so thankful.
THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:
A fisherman must leave the shoreline if he wants to get a big haul, similarly I must go deep in God if I want to get the fullness of his blessings and be able to bless others.
SCRIPTURE:
Galatians 6:4 (TPT)-Let everyone be devoted to fulfill the work God has given them to do with excellence, and their joy will be in doing what's right and being themselves, and not in being affirmed by others.
PRAYER:
My heavenly Father, thank you for your son Jesus Christ, and for the Gospel that you have given us to teach and guide us. I pray that as we read the scriptures and meditate on them that you will continually reveal your self to us. Help us to launch out into the deep in our careers, in our ministries and also in our daily interactions so that we can live a life that is pleasing to you.
In Jesus name I pray. AMEN 🙏🙏🙏

We just cannot afford to stand on the bank and watch, like Steve Harvey say in his motivational video, we have to JUMP! There is no better day than today to make a decision to JUMP.

How excellent is the name of our Lord Jesus!
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for the awareness that there is one God. The best part of knowing this God is that His love for me is unconditional. As far as I can look back through the years I can see His new mercies every morning.Makes me want to shout Halelujah!!!
