40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - Day 40: I Am Grateful For Technology & The Internet

Noni or Duppy
Sour sap

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 40 and it's Boxing Day, the final day of our challenge!  Thank the Lord for keeping us through this journey, and what an adventure! We have now completed 40 days of focusing on our blessings and not our problems.  FORTY DAYS of being GRATEFUL!  That is F-O-R-T-Y D-A-Y-S!!  Do you know what this means, we have strengthened the neurons in our brains to be positive and think of our blessings more often. By doing so, we invite more blessings our way, praise God.  Thanks sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.  I also would appreciate your feedback.  This is my first time doing this and so your feedback will be valuable for future challenges.
πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

At the end of the devotion I invite you to do a short quiet reflection of 5 - 10 minutes. Breathe deeply and focus on your breath - inhalation and exhalation.  If your mind is "busy" repeat the gratitude of the day or your own personal gratitude that comes to mind.  This quite time will allow you to hear from God.

πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful for technology and the internet.  Without the advances of technology and telecommunication sharing this experience with you all would not be possible.  I would have to write a book or booklet first, publish it and wait for distribution.  Even then, it may not reach many people.  There is nothing that is impossible before God, and he gave people the vision of being able to communicate through this method allowing people from all over the world from all different backgrounds to communicate and connect; conducting business and forming friendships and worshiping together.  I am not tech savvy so I am just in awe of how this whole thing works. What is so great about technology and the internet is that we can use it as a force for good, which is my intention.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

I serve a great, big, wonderful God and I will not limit my God with my human reasoning.

SCRIPTURE:

James 1:5 (TPT) And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it!  He won't see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, you say in your word that nothing is impossible for you and I have seen it over and over again.  I thank you for showing me so many ways how great you are so that I can increase my faith and learn to trust you more.  I pray Father, that many more will discover your awesome power and learn to tap into your unlimited power and possibilities.  Thank you for showing me that I can dare to dream; help me to encourage others to dream also. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful that I have lived to see another Christmas, and grateful that I am spending it with my brothers and sister at our family home in Jamaica.  Last year we lost our dear mother on October 15th and I fell and broke my leg while here to attend her funeral.  I saw some dark and dismal days in the months following but praise God for the healer that he is.  His words said that he is acquainted with our sorrows and he knows our grief and I know that I can depend on Him to deliver me out of all my troubles.  Today I rejoice because my confidence is in the Lord.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

My brothers and sisters are the first friends I ever had, it delights my heart to be with them.

SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 133:1 (TPT) How truly wonderful and delightful to see brothers and sisters living together in sweet unity!

PRAYER:

Loving God, thank you so much for the opportunity and the privilege to spend time with my siblings. Thank you for healing our sorrows from the loss of our beloved uncle Trevor in 2016, dear mother Lydia in 2017 and our young nephew Brandon in 2018, and for keeping us safe. Remember Barry and Annis who are not able to be with us, surround them and their families with your grace, love and protection. I pray for our continued health and happiness; for cooperation and unity; to be there to give our support during difficult times and to celebrate the good times.  Continue to guide, protect and provide for our every need and desires.  I bless your name Father,  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

➢➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣

Merry Christmas everybody!  I trust that whatever your circumstance, where ever you are, you will bless the Lord and call upon His name for he is worthy to be praised. Be safe as you celebrate the season.

πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful for the leaps in human progress and the standard of living over past century and especially during what I have experienced during my lifetime. It's been just amazing, and my family have enjoyed the ride.  Can you imagine what life would be like without super highways,  air travel and cellular phones?  Neither can I.  They say there's no such thing as standing still,  it's either we are moving forward or going backwards because progress is propelling civilization forward. To experience God greatness we have to tap into our creative intelligence.  When we do this we become co-creators with him and manifest his glory.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

I am a co-creator with God through Christ by the power endowed to me through His resurrection.

SCRIPTURE:

2 Corinthians 9:15 Now thanks be to God for His indescribable gift [which is precious beyond words]!

PRAYER:

Righteous God, you are the master designer, the architect of our existence and I thank you for continually manifesting your awesomeness through the gifts bestowed on us. Heavily father I pray that you will continue to pour into us for the benefit of improving the life journey of all of your children.

                                πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«
I am so glad that I was able to take this 40Days journey with you. I hope you have too. Have a very Merry Christmas!

T'is the season, busy

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 36!  Thank the Lord, today we complete week 5, and now have 3 days of focusing on our blessings and not our problems before the big day which is CHRISTMAS and 4 days to complete the challenge; that will be FORTY DAYS of being GRATEFUL!!   Thank sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

Today I am grateful and thankful for the Christmas Season.  I don't know about you but it always amazes me how the Christmas season changes the mood. And all this despite the hustle and bustle and frayed nerves it is still exciting. It really is a delightful time of year where the central theme is Love and everyone makes an effort to be nice. Well, maybe not everyone, but you know what I mean.  If only we could manage to carry over the sentiments throughout the year it would be so amazing.  So, here is my challenge, what if we each tried our best to remember to think of why we celebrate Christmas and remember that Jesus was not only born but he live and then he was crucified so we can have eternal life.  Yes, he came to redeem us from our sins so I must remember to remember this everyday of the year.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

I will remember to carry over the Love and happiness of the Christmas season every day of the year.

SCRIPTURE:

John 3:16 (TPT) For this is how much God loved the world - he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift.  So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, Thank you so much for your only begotten son Jesus Christ and the opportunity to celebrate his birth.  It is a time of year when practically the whole world shift focus to Love and caring for each other and it does wonders for the soul.  Father, many are not able to see or appreciate the season as they are overtaken with loneliness and sorrow; I pray that you will comfort the hearts of your people.  Speak to their hearts and send your special angels to minister to every soul that is in need at this time Lord.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

➢➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣

It's the season to spread joy!  If you see someone is down, or down on their luck try to be encouraging, and if you are able to be a blessing financially do not hesitate, do not hold back, do as the spirit instructs you to.  You will not regret it.

Grace & Peace,
Beverley

40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - day 35: Nurses & Healthcare Workers

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 35!  Thank the Lord, today we complete week 5, and what an adventure! We now have 4 days of focusing on our blessings and not our problems before the big day which  is CHRISTMAS and 5 days to complete the challenge; that will be  FORTY DAYS of being GRATEFUL!!   Thank sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

Today I am grateful for nurses and all healthcare workers.  I just could not complete this forty day gratitude challenge without expressing my deep and sincere appreciation for nurses and the other workers in the healthcare sector who are the front line and the backbone of healthcare delivery in every country, in every station of life.  I have not met a nurse or another healthcare worker who is not helpful and compassionate.  I have many clients who are nurses and other category of workers in this sector and I can tell you they are dedicated and hard working.  Let me just say this, thank you for all that you do, thank you for your boundless energy and dedication in taking care of your fellow human beings.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

With God all things are possible, and when I believe and show appreciation for his goodness, even more goodness and mercy is given to me.

SCRIPTURE:

Mark 1:31 (TPT) He walked up to her bedside, gently took her hand, and raised her up! Her fever disappeared and she began to serve them.

PRAYER:

Father, in the name of Jesus I come before you to give you thanks and praise for imparting your knowledge and wisdom to us humans who are your handiwork.  I thank you for all the men and women who choose the profession of nursing and all of the auxiliary staff of the hospital, clinics, doctors offices, laboratories and other institutions  in delivering medical care and support to the sick and wounded everywhere.  You made these professionals with the stomach and grit to see us humans in our worst states and be able to love and care for us.  Lord I appreciate it so much.  I have seen and heard of so many situations where the sick would be written off "as just as good as dead" or be literally discarded by the undiscerning but with your mercy and the caring hands of healthcare workers they come back to life, sometimes better than their prior state.  You are indeed a mighty God.
In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

➢➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣

If you have to visit the hospital or clinic during the holiday season remember to be a little bit more patient and understanding.  These facilities are usually crowded because of high demand and short staff and it is easy to lash out but remember, these workers would probably much prefer to be at home with their loved ones too.  adopt my special mantra:  everything always work out form me, the right thing will happen.

Acknowledge the staff and thank them for the work they do, they will appreciate it.

Grace & Peace,
Beverley

40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - Day 34: I A Grateful For Doctors

Was glad to be back on
my feet after mending
broken leg. Aug 10, 2018

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 34!  Thank the Lord, we are almost at the end of week 5, and what an adventure! We are now on the  5th week of focusing on our blessings and not our problems and it has ignited something wonderful in me!   Thank sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

Today I am grateful for doctors, all doctors.  I appreciate all these men and women who have committed their lives to serving us in the area of health and medicine. They have gone through years of additional studies, they work grueling hours, especially during their intern years, and make tremendous personal sacrifices to be able to do what they do.  Mind you, being a doctor is not always as glamorous as we like to fantasize.  Some patients are not easy to deal with, even when the doctors are trying their best to make them well they still give the doctors a difficult time.  I try to be a good patient because it is in my best interest and I know that the doctors have my best interest at heart.  We must keep in mind that God does his miracles through men and women called doctors!  I fell and broke my leg in Jamaica October 2017 and I cannot praise the doctors and staff of the May Pen Hospital in Jamaica enough!  They advised me that I might need surgery but did such a great job that when I consulted with the Orthopedic Surgeon on my arrival back in Canada, I was given the all clear - no surgery.  Then I had this lipoma on my right hand for years and was reluctant to do the surgery, then I declared that the Lord uses the doctors to carry out his will for healing and health so I went forward.  I got a lovely young doctor who did an amazing job. I did not even need to take an aspirin after my surgery - how awesome is that!

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

All good works come through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, he uses his earthly angels to perform the work on his behalf.

SCRIPTURE:

1 Peter 5:10 (TPT) And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever.  Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for all the doctors every where they serve.  Bless them Lord and give them steady hands and steady minds as you bring healing and comfort from sickness and diseases to your people through these dedicated men and women of medicine. Show yourself to them, impart all wisdom and knowledge needed in the performance of their work.  Meet all of their personal needs and give peace and comfort to their families while they serve your people.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

➢➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣

Holidays are especially tough on Doctors and hospital workers, especially emergency rooms.  Be kind and be patient with them.  Be careful on the roads, and also at home.  The statistics show that most accidents and injuries occur around the house. Have a safe and joyful Christmas season.

Grace & Peace,
Beverley

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 33!  Thank the Lord, we are on  week 5, and what an adventure! We are now on the  5th week of focusing on our blessings and not our problems and it has ignited something wonderful in me!   Thank sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

Today I am grateful for clean water.  Today's gratitude was inspired by watching the video in the link below.  Clean water we can trust is something that hundreds of millions of people take for granted.  I am blessed in that where I grew up we had access to unpolluted water and fresh spring water despite not having piped running water until in the 70's.  Remember that even in the United States of America there are communities without trusted clean water and it's not because water is scarce, it is because of corrupt politicians and corporations run by corrupt people. I am also grateful for the amazing Grace of our Lord Jesus and the POWER OF REDEMPTION that changed this young man's life from someone on the path of destruction to one of saving the lives of millions and making a huge difference in many more millions!  What an amazing God we serve.  Watch the video and see if it inspires you to take action.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE9UvT5ujyg

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

As clean water sustains my physical body, the Word of God sustains not only my spiritual life but also keeps my body healthy by feeding my thought life with positivity.

SCRIPTURE:

1 John 5:6 (TPT) Jesus Christ is the One who was revealed as God's son by his water baptism and by the blood of his cross-not by water only, but by water and blood.  And the Spirit, who is truth, confirms this with his testimony.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for the abundance of clean water on the earth that you created.  You have made provisions for all of the needs of human beings you created but because of selfishness greed and corruption some of your children are being denied.  I thank you for this young man, Scott Harrison, for redeeming his life from destruction and turning it into good for humanity.  I pray that you will inspire many more like him to do your bidding in the earth plane.   In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

➢➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣

Water - bringing millions of people together for a force of good! The story of how God turned Scott Harrison's life around is so inspiring as it shows how one person's desire to do good in the world can trigger a chain reaction that is unfathomable.  I pray today that we will all have the courage to act on an inspiration to do good, even if is just buying someone a cup of coffee.  Try it - don't hold back today!

Grace & Peace

40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - Day 32: Grateful I live In A Peaceful Country

Full Moon in the
neighbourhood: Nov 2018

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 32!  Thank the Lord, we are on of week 5, and what an adventure! We are now on the  5th week of focusing on our blessings and not our problems and it has ignited something wonderful in me!   Thank sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.
πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

At the end of the devotion I invite you to do a short quiet reflection of 5 - 10 minutes. Breath deeply and focus on your breath - inhalation and exhalation.  If your mind is "busy" repeat the gratitude of the day or your own personal gratitude that comes to mind.  This quite time will allow you to hear from God.

πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful that I live in a peaceful country.  Canada is well known around the world as the "Peace Keeper".  To be born in a region that has not known war in my lifetime is something that I do not take for granted.  As a little girl growing up in Jamaica, I remember listening to the radio every day and the news every morning, noon and night I would hear updates on wars: Vietnam, Northern Ireland, the Middle East; it was horrifying and never ending.  Later in adulthood many of these conflicts ended so the people who live in those countries finally got the chance to experience some form of peace.  It was great not to be hearing about war all the time.  Then came  the Iraq and Afghanistan wars; Afghanistan is still ongoing.  Over the last five years it   seems like the whole region is embroiled in wars.  Can you imagine what it is like living in the areas of these conflicts?  Having rockets blasting overhead every  night and every day, I cannot, it is incomprehensible to me. I see the destruction and devastation and  wonder how is it even  possible for people to survive it, but they do.  I so appreciate peace and cooperation and I definitely can imagine a world without conflicts.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

I love peace - in every area of life!

SCRIPTURE:

John 16:33 (TPT) And everything I've taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me.  For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!"

PRAYER:

Righteous and eternal Father, I thank you for the peace you have given to the North American continent and the Caribbean region during my lifetime.  Father, even though a great number of countries are experience peace today, there are so many that are being destroyed by war and conflicts and I pray for the people of every country that is currently under civil unrest, conflicts and outright wars that you will intervene by your power and by your might and restore peace to your people.  I pray for the leaders of these countries that you will impart wisdom, knowledge and understanding in them, that they will seek out and take wise counsel so that their people will know security and prosperity.  Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers, Father.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

➢➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣➣

If you live in a peaceful country take a moment to imagine what life is like for your fellow human beings who do not.  Just close your eyes for a minute and imagine what it would be like for you if you lived in a war zone.  I believe that if we all try to imagine what life is like for those people we will be more compassionate towards them, especially the children.

If you are reading this and you are one of the unfortunate souls that live in a country that is consumed with conflicts or wars, my heart goes out to you and I pray for your peace, your security and every area of your life.  May the Grace of God envelop you, comfort you, protect and provide for you.

Grace & Peace,
Beverley

40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - Day 31: Divine Favour

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 31!  Thank the Lord, we are on of week 5, and what an adventure! πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful for divine favour.  I am one of those people who do not believe in coincidences or luck.  I believe that God, through his Grace, work in the background to make things happen that are jaw-dropping and awesome all at the same time.  Once upon a time when I did not have the awareness that I do now, these incidences used to be few and far between, hit or miss.  Now, they are more common occurrences and are becoming just a regular part of my day to day life and I am so grateful.  Divine Favour takes away the need to fuss, stress and worry.  Funny thing though, I had to learn not to worry in order to get to this place.  Meditation, being in a joyful state and having an attitude of gratitude are ways to get there.  By the way, if you are really wanting to get to this place in your life, you must pay attention to your thoughts and words.  Sometimes we get into negative territory unintentionally by agreeing with, or even being silent by other people negative talk or attitude.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

Faith takes what Grace provides.  By remaining focused on the Lord  I avail myself of the provisions that he so graciously make available to me.

SCRIPTURE:

Psalms 31:21 (TPT) The name of the Lord is blessed and lifted high!  For his marvelous miracle of mercy protected me when I was overwhelmed by my enemies.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, you are a great, big, wonderful God!  I thank you for all the ways you show up in my life with your divine favour which I appreciate so much.  I pray that you will continue to minister to me while you help me assist others to see and understand your goodness and your Grace.
In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

A bonus of living in a state of gratitude by Divine Grace, it rubs off on other

40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - Day 30: Revelations Of The Spirit

Christmas Lights-Cranberry
 Mews Collingwood

Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 30!

Today I am grateful and thankful for revelations of the Spirit.  This morning while laying in bed resting between sleep and awake the Spirit said to me:

What if we all saw the circumstances we were born into for what they really are; as the beginning of the journey we were born to take with sections of the map of the road ahead shown to us as we go along? We know about the big map; that is the period between birth and death, but the sections of the map between these two points are only are only given to us as we complete the sections or  stages of life. If we saw life this way it  would eliminate a lot of the trauma, pain and drama caused by envy, jealousy, greed and toxic competition etc.  We would be more compassionate and helpful to each other as there would be no need to feel threatened, insecure on insignificant as we would know why we are here.

I laid there meditating on afterwords and decided that this was going to be today's gratitude.  Yes, the Spirit of God does reveal things to us - answers to questions we have asked and those questions we keep secret. The Spirit reveal situations to prepare us for events ahead through dreams, visions, premonitions, impressions on our minds and also through his servants by prophetic messages.  An example of a premonition is this thing that happened to me several years ago.  I was in between sleep and awake and it appeared that somebody said something to me in the spirit but I did not know what was said, however, my response was "that is tragic" and then I jumped up. I told a few people. This bothered me for a few days because I knew something was going to happen but I did not know what.  A few months passed, then one day I heard that one of my first cousins' only son was lured and killed by some boys he considered his friends.  He was about 19 years old.  In another example, just a little over two years ago I saw in a vision an area of a business cordoned off with police tape and I lamented how awful it was for whatever happened to the owner of the business because he is a good person who worked so hard and didn't deserve that (the spirit did not reveal to me what happened but I had an impression of generally what might have happened).  Again I told a few people close to me. Months passed without hearing anything so it went out of my mind.  Last week I learned that a crime was discovered about six months after the dream but was not made public because an investigation was taking place.

My sister in the Lord, Prophetess Pancheta Hart, of the Apostolic-Prophetic Deliverance Ministries, shared on Facebook that the Spirit showed her that an alarming number of  souls are suffering from trauma. As human beings, we traumatize each other because we do not know who we are (in Christ) or why we are here (our God ordained purpose).  Before we can see the hurt in others we need to be aware of, and start the healing process, in our own souls.  I Appreciate and respect the process of healing and becoming whole and "awakened" and I thank God for revelations that come through me and those whom he appoints and anoints.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

All good gifts are from the Lord. I will use my gifts to minister to his people.

SCRIPTURE:
1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 (AMP) 20 Do not scorn or reject gifts of prophecy or prophecies [spoken revelations--words of instruction or exhortation or warning]. 21 But test all things carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. Hold firmly to that which is good.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I have your assurance that the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead resides in me and all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  All we have to do to activate the Spirit is to believe, and the Spirit will transform us by the renewing of our minds.  When we meditate on your words, you reveal yourself to us.  As  your daughter, Pancheta Hart, obediently shared your Words regarding the numerous souls who are suffering, I pray father that you will show me how I can be of service to you in helping traumatized souls heal, while granting me the strength and courage to do your will.  Raise up workers to go out into the field who are ready and willing to do your will.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Late post today, and it was for a reason. I went to church at the RCCG, Jesus House Toronto today. As one of the ministers delivered the prayers before the Pastor preached the word, what was the main focus of the prayer? Revelations.  Boy, did she pray for God to give us revelations, revelations for all areas of our lives.  All I could do was say yes, Lord.  Thank you.

A blessed Sunday to all,

40Days Of Gratitude With Bev Allen - Day 29: Restful Sleep

GNO!Hanging our with my
girl Rose at her lovely home
Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 29!  Thank the Lord, we are starting of week 5, what an adventure! We are entering 5 weeks of focusing on our blessings and not our problems and it has ignited something wonderful in me!   Thank sharing this awesome experience with me. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful for restful sleep.  When I was younger I took this privilege for granted.  As a matter of fact I used to boast that I only needed 3 - 4 hours sleep and for many years that's what I ran with.  Then mid-life hit and I got a wake-up call, pardon the pun.  Stresses of life combined with the onset of menopause threw me in the no sleep zone.  That was more than a long nightmare, I could actually empathize with Michael Jackson for taking the extreme (ill advised of course) measures which ended up costing him his life.  I didn't have Michael Jackson's money so I had to seek out methods that would give me better results at minimal costs.  Since then I have seen Arianna Huffington, founder of The Hoffington Post, wrote a book sharing her experience of sleep deprivation and started a whole new successful business enterprise on the subject of sleep,  spinning it out to a whole new industry.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

My rest and my sleep are precious and therefore I will not let anyone or anything rob me of either one of them.

SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 4:8 (AMP) - In peace [and with a tranquil heart] I will both lie down and sleep,
For you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

PRAYER:

O Lord, Jesus, thank you for the privilege of laying down to sleep in a safe and peaceful abode; I can put my head down knowing my security and protection rest with you.  When sleep failed me you showed me what to do; you put the right people with the right information in my path so I would be guided back to wholeness. I thank you for the professionals who take the issue of sleep as their area of focus and work diligently to help those who suffer from maladies that affect their sleep.  I pray that you will have mercy on those who struggle to get a good night's rest.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

My favourite activity
since childhood
To have a restful sleep we need to have a peaceful day.  We need to do the things
and think the thoughts throughout the day that will lead to a restful night.  There have
been quite a few books and other publications on the topic since Arianna Huffington's
book, The Sleep Revolution: Transforming Your Life One Night at a Time, came out.
Guard your sleep and protect your peace for your life depends on it.

Have a restful & blissful weekend,

Beverley
