Welcome to 40 Days Of Gratitude day 26!  Thank the Lord, we are on week 4!  We are now into four  weeks of focusing on our blessings and not our problems!   Thank you for staying with me on this adventure. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing your stories:  Revelations, problems solved, ideas conceived and birthed etc.

At the end of the devotion I invite you to do a short quiet reflection of 5 - 10 minutes. Breath deeply and focus on your breath - inhalation and exhalation.  If your mind is "busy" repeat the gratitude of the day or your own personal gratitude that comes to mind.  This quite time will allow you to hear from God.

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Today I am grateful and thankful for good neighbours. It is peace and security when neighbours live in love and  harmony beside each other.  As children in my family and my community we learned how to be good neighbours.  Families where helpful to each other with their children, planting and reaping crops, taking care of their sick and burying their dead.  We all took this example into the world, on to the bigger stage in big cities - USA, Canada, England, just to name a few.  Throughout my adult life I have been blessed to have good neighbours.  I am especially grateful for my current neighbours, my street and neighbourhood a good representation of the United Nations and it is just great.

THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:

I must remember that I am God's representative at all times and conduct myself accordingly.

SCRIPTURE:

Mark 12:33 (AMP) - And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to [unselfishly] love ones neighbour as oneself is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.

PRAYER:

My Father in Heaven, thank you for loving me unconditionally.  You  forgive me and love me no matter how bad I mess up. You have set the example for me and now I ask you to help me Father, to have the same heart towards my neighbours that I dwell amongst and to all people with whom I interact.
In Jesus name I pray.  AMEN πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

I have know people who have awful neighbours and also people who are not very

pleasant as neighbours themselves and it is a very difficult thing to cope with, especially if you are a home owner.  When we have good neighbours we need to acknowledge that and celebrate them.

Today is a perfectly good day to get to know a neighbour better, or
do a random act of kindness for a neighbour.

Have a terrific Thursday,

Beverley
