| Bishop doing what he loved |
πππ
At the end of the devotion I invite you to do a short quiet reflection of 5 - 10 minutes. Breath deeply and focus on your breath - inhalation and exhalation. If your mind is "busy" repeat the gratitude of the day or your own personal gratitude that comes to mind. This quite time will allow you to hear from God.

TODAY'S DEVOTION:
Today I am grateful and thankful for peace in my mind. I remember many years ago when I was wrought with frustrations, problems and ceaseless worry. Then you, O Lord, through your servant Bishop C.O. Ricketts, in a casual conversation without even knowing what I was experiencing on the inside, brought to my attention that the most important thing in life is to have peace in your mind. I went home that afternoon thinking about this, and how I can get to that place. Since then, with diligence and intention I sought it, I found it, and I definitely intend to keep it. I now know exactly what Bishop was talking about.
THOUGHT TO FOCUS ON:
There is nothing in this world that is worth trading my peace of mind for.
SCRIPTURE:
Proverbs 4:23 (CEB) - More than anything, guard, protect your mind for life flows from it.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of your son Jesus Christ in thanksgiving and appreciation for restoring peace in my mind. I pray Father, that you will help me, guide and instruct me to conduct myself in such a way as to always keep my peace. I pray also, that I will carry this peace in all of my interactions and undertakings so that you will be glorified.
In Jesus name I pray. AMEN.
