Friends, I am excited to share that I will be starting Forty Days Of Gratitude Christian devotion starting Saturday November 17th to December 24th and so I have created this blog as the medium to share it with you. My hope is that doing these daily devotions and staying in the spirit of gratitude will help keep life in perspective as we approach the Christmas season, and what better lead-up to celebrating the birth of Jesus, our Saviour. If you know me, you already know that I have two passions: the spiritual wellbeing of everyone who crosses my path and their financial wellbeing. Especially those who are striving for a better life and need guidance and education. I have a blog on Money & Leadership and now I am launching a blog so that we can share our daily walk with God and find joy in the journey together. The bible tells us that we have to occupy until Christ returns, meaning that we continue to live and strive until such time. Our job is to help each other along the way, the best we can with the gifts we were blessed with. That is the nuts and bolts of it!
I learned to meditate our of necessity. Devotions and meditation helped save my life and most definitely helped in keeping me off medications, especially blood pressure. Most important of all, I have getton to know myself better and I am deepening my relationship with God. Of course, the natural out take from that is that all other relationships are positively impacted.
I know there are many who need help because I can see what is going on in the world. I raised two children mostly on my own and when I say it was challenging, that is definitely an understatement. I know about suffering - I have been there, so if I can use the lessons I have learned along the way to help others, I want to do this. I want to help in a meaningful way, not just with "thoughts and prayers". As a matter of fact, I have helped many but I feel the call to do more and I feel that I can reach so many more, near and far through this medium.
For the longest time, every time I was asked if I could do one thing to help humanity what would that one thing be and my answer has always been the same - help people end their sorrows. Well, focusing on our blessings through affirmation of gratitude is one way of eliminating sorrow. Meditations for Christians has been on my mind since I learned to meditate. The Holy Spirit has been prodding me over the last nine months and I have been told that "obedience is better than sacrifice" so here we are!
I am inviting you to join me on my #FortyDaysOfGratitude #ChristianDevotion experience and I hope you will take up the offer. We have so much to be thankful for and the more we are thankful by expressing our #gratitude, the more our hearts and lives are blessed.
Beverley
